Create a route beyond the event

A hackathon or pitch competition can spark interest, but teams need follow-up. Offer a next step such as customer interviews, prototype access, an incubator review, or a mentor discussion with a defined question.

Coordinate academic and external support

Map faculty knowledge, facilities, alumni experience, and external programs to each team's current needs. Clarify access, supervision, academic commitments, and applicable institution policies before a project begins.

• Document the problem and what the team has observed.
• Choose an experiment that fits the academic calendar.
• Agree ownership and responsibilities with the institution.
• Create a continuity plan when students graduate.

Value learning as well as company formation

A team that disproves an assumption has made progress. Track completed experiments, skills developed, and next decisions alongside prototypes or ventures created. University program administration is not live in this public release.
