FUNDING READINESS

What a clear funding story needs to answer.

A pitch becomes easier to understand when its claims, evidence and next milestone fit together. Use these questions to organise the story.

ACCELERATELINK FIELD NOTES / PRACTICAL GUIDE

Who has the problem?

Describe a specific customer and the problem they experience. Explain what they currently do and why the problem matters. Use actual customer observations where you have them.

What have you built and learned?

Explain your solution in ordinary language. Distinguish what exists today from what you intend to build. Make your business model and learning visible.

What does the evidence say?

Define traction metrics, their time period and their denominator. Separate revenue from pipeline, registrations from active usage, and observations from projections.

Why capital, and why this milestone?

Describe the work the capital would support, the assumptions behind the plan and the milestone that would demonstrate progress. Include current cash, costs and a simple runway estimate.

What is still uncertain?

A credible story can acknowledge unknowns. State the questions you need to answer and how you intend to learn. The aim is a useful discussion, rather than a claim that every risk has disappeared.
